Advanced Higher
You are here: Physics > Advanced Higher

Advanced Higher Physics is a demanding and interesting course extending the work of Higher Physics with increased mathematical content (requiring candidates to have Higher  Maths) and offering opportunities for  extended experimental work , sophisticated content and rigorous analysis.

There are  three  main units along with an additional researching physics unit  and extended investigation

  • Rotational Motion and Astrophysics
  • Quanta and Waves
  • Electromagnetism

In session 2015-16 the Advanced Higher Physics course being offered in Bannerman High School has been on a self study and tutorial basis making self motivation and interest of  the highest importance. Students have been issued with a comprehensive set of resources to support their study and consequently there is little need to include resources on this platform.

These resources may , however, be of value to you if you are planning to study AH Physics in future.
